The moment I stepped foot into Morocco was the moment that I fell truly, madly and deeply head over heels in love with what is the most beautiful country I have ever visited. An added bonus? Countries don't break hearts like boys do!

Because of our extremely short time frame in Morocco, we had to make sacrifices when it came to our itinerary and unfortunately, Fes was the city that we had to compromise with the most. We were all so excited to see the blue city of Chefchaouen so decided to dedicate two days there and only a measly 12 hours in Fes, including a night's sleep.
Riding a camel through the Sahara Desert at sunset still goes down as the most memorable travel experience I've had thus far. It wasn't just the camel riding and sand dunes that were amazing though, the whole three days leading up to it, the actual journey that we took to the Sahara, was equally as incredible.
Ahh Marrakech... How do I even begin to describe this incredible city? It's not often that I get culture shock. I've visited 33 countries now and I've only experienced culture shock less than a handful of times. When I arrived in Marrakech, though, culture shock hit me like a speeding train. Never had I ever been thrown into such an unfamiliar environment and felt so totally out of my comfort zone before. It was thrilling, exhilarating and one huge sensory overload from the minute we stepped foot off the plane. I was instantly mesmerised and I knew that this was the beginning of a hard and fast love affair.
